Snow Globe Decoration

During a Christmas craft session, children were invited to decorate their Christmas globe using paint, glue, glitter, and decorative items such as sequins and a photo of them. Each child approached the activity with unique ideas and methods. Some worked independently, while others needed some help from the educator. Conversations unfolded naturally, touching on family traditions, personal preferences, and imaginative ideas.

Ava selected blue snowflake sequins, sharing, “This is my mom’s favorite color.”
Shaun asked, “Do I get to take this home? Why are we using glitter?”

Some children experimented with mixing paint and creating unique designs, while others carefully positioned their photos and decorations. The educator provided support by asking open-ended questions and offering encouragement, such as, “Do you want to add more snowflakes?” or “I love how you’re making your globe sparkle!” These interactions fostered creativity, confidence, and connection.
